As human beings we embodythe spirit of God. We attributethe noblest qualities to God so itis natural for noble qualities tothe present in the core of ourbeing. It is our duty then tomanifest noble qualities in ourlife. Perhaps the reason thatmany people are beset withproblems and negativities is thatthe mind is full of desires, passionsand ego. If we are notmindful of these negativities,then they operate almost automaticallyin our life. It is obviousthat this will lead to problemswithin oneself, within a family,within a society, and amongnations.But as human beings we wantpeace, happiness and well-beingfor ourselves and for others. Inorder to achieve this state ofgeneral well-being, we have tobe mindful of our thoughts,motivations and passions, andhow we react to them. God hasgiven us the intelligence and willto do that which is beneficial toeveryone. One of the mostimportant ways of producingbeneficial results is to seek thesource that is within. This iswhere meditation proves to bethe most useful practice.I have previously outlined a programof simple meditation todevelop the noble attributes thatwill bring peace, goodwill andwell-being to us. For one whohas not practiced meditationbefore, it may feel awkward ordifficult. But meditation is reallyvery simple and can be one ofthe most life fulfilling habits.The secret is to start and to persistin the practice until itbecomes second nature to you.You will begin to feel the benefitsand be encouraged to continue.Follow this simplified routinethat was mentioned previously:Relax the mind and body thenmeditate on:Sunday 9pm: “I am a Divine,Peaceful Soul.”Monday 9pm: “I am a Divine,Loving Soul.”Tuesday 9pm: “ I am a DivineCompassionate Soul.”Wednesday 9pm: “ I am aDivine, Forgiving Soul.”Thursday 9pm: “I am aDivine, Generous Soul.”Friday 9pm: “I am a Divine,Pure Soul.”Saturday 9pm: “I am aDivine, Truthful Soul.”Your subconscious mind willabsorb the good qualities andmake it a part of your nature.
