SURREY: United Surrey, led by Sukh Dhaliwal, will field a full-slate of candidates for October’s municipal election with the addition of four newly announced candidates.

Zubeen Sahib a community advocate and volunteer is running to expand the reach of City Hall into communities and demographics.

Andy Dhillon, a life-long Surrey resident and a Certified Professional, wants to work towards unique challenges of young local families trying to build a long-term future in the city.

Margarett Lange, a hospitality professional is running to ensure that the City is able to rise to the challenge as it grows to become BC’s largest city over the coming decade.

Nicole Bennett, a small-business owner and an activist on behalf of children and families dealing with the impacts of Autism, is running to advocate of increasing the attention paid to the local business owners at City Hall.

These additions to the United Surrey team characterize the most diverse and capable team of any running for office in the City of Surrey, according to Mayoral candidate Sukh Dhaliwal.

“It was critical that we recruited a group of candidates for City Council that has the ability to represent all constituencies and communities within Surrey and we have accomplished that with this impressive group,” said Dhaliwal. “I’m proud to stand by them as a fellow team member and am confident that United Surrey is now the only viable option for real change in the upcoming City of Surrey election.”
