NEW YORK – Global stocks as measured by MSCI fell to their lowest this year on Wednesday as investors fretted about the pace of economic growth.

MSCI’s world equity index fell 1.5 per cent and was down for a sixth straight session, after hitting its weakest since early December.

On Wall Street, major indexes were also trading lower and the Nasdaq Composite turned negative for the year.
