Ailing Sikh Activist Surat Singh Khalsa Discharged From Hospital

LUDHIANA – The Dayanand Medical College and Hospital discharged veteran Sikh activist Surat Singh Khalsa, who was on fast and was being forced-fed by the hospital authorities.

His son Ravinderjit Singh said he was discharged from the hospital this evening and was taken by the police to his house in Hassanpur village. Meanwhile, the Jagraon police have beefed up security outside his house.

Ravinderjit Singh said his father had been unwell for the past few days. Khalsa, who has been on fast to seek the freedom of Sikhs languishing in jails despite completion of their sentence, has been forced-fed on several occasions.
