BMW Launches Locally Produced X5 In India

BMW recently launched its all-new X5 model in India. It demonstrates a fresh modern design with refined interiors and authoritative driving attributes. Locally-produced, the X5 is available in a diesel variant. The petrol variant will be available in later part of the year.

 

J&K Bank’s Profit Doubles To Rs 465 Crore In FY 19

J&K Bank has reported a 129% growth in net profit for the financial year 2018-19 at Rs 465 crore as compared to Rs 202 crore in the previous fiscal. In the March quarter, the bank has reported a profit of Rs 214.80 crore as compared to Rs 28.41 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 2018. Buoyed by strong retail credit growth, sale of partial stake in PNB MetLife and resolution of some large NPAs, the total income of the bank rose to Rs 8,487 crore as compared to Rs 7,116 crore a year ago.

 

Ultrasound Waves To Treat Heart Without Surgery

Soon extracorporeal shockwave myocardial revascularisation (ESMR) will change the perception towards ischemic heart disease for the first time in northern India. This advanced German technology, also known as heart bypass without surgery, utilises echocardiography-focused ultrasound waves to regenerate new blood vessels and increase blood flow to weakened heart muscles. Dr Sibia, director, Sibia Medical Centre, Ludhiana, said: “ESMR is another option for patients who don’t want surgery or are too weak to either undergo a bypass surgery or even angioplasty.”
