Sims Gets New Critic Role

Newton-North Delta MP Jinny Sims was appointed Critic for International Cooperation and Associate Critic of Foreign Affairs this week. Last Friday, Sims held a luncheon for Indo-Canadian media in Surrey to talk about the work she is doing in Ottawa. She said majority of the files from her riding dealt with immigration and criticized the Conservatives for making it hard to come to Canada even for people in the spousal and family class. She also said that her party is pushing for a Canadian consulate in Fiji as there is none in that country at the present.
