CHANDIGARH – Criticising the deteriorating law and order situation and the flourishing gang culture in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded the resignation of Deputy CM and Home Minister Sukhbir Badal.        In a statement issued here today, party convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that CM Parkash Singh Badal and his deputy were hardly doing anything to ensure law and order in the state.

“There was a time when people talked about gang culture in UP and Bihar but now the youth of the state have going the same way because of political patronage. How can a criminal challenge a police officer on a social networking site while behind bars? Who allows criminals to use electronic gadgets in police custody” Chottepur questioned.

Jail Minister Sohan Singh Thandal should also resign for falling to perform his duty,” he added. Chhotepur said it was hard to believe that the CM or the Home Minister were clueless about the activities of the gangsters. He also criticised the Congress for keeping mum on this issue.
