DELTA – Renowned Punjabi artist Jarnail Singh has been named one of the Directors of Delta Arts Council.
Singh who is known for his paintings of Sikh history and Punjabi culture was inducted as a new member to Board of Directors at a General meeting of the council in June. The Delta Arts Council organizes art activities in the field of music, dramas, paintings etc. Several workshops, exhibitions and art and dance competitions are organized from time to time by the Art Council.
On being appointed as a Director, Jarnail Singh remarked that it’s a matter of pride for him personally and for the community also. He said that he will make efforts for more participation of the community in the activities of the Arts Council.
Singh was also on board of Arts Council of Surrey and served on Public Art Advisory Council of Surrey, has had numerous exhibitions of his paintings all over the world and won many honors for his works.
