Have more protein

You can restore healthy insulin levels by adding more protein in your diet. This also cuts down on your cravings. Start with a protein shake for breakfast, snack on seeds and nuts through the day. Also include eggs, fish, chicken or grass-fed meat in each meal.

Stop sugar completely

To stop your body from depending on too much sugar you need to stop consuming all forms of sugar, which includes artificial sweeteners and carbohydrates too. Also remove trans or hydrogenated fats and MSG from your meals. Focus on eating only fresh produce and water while avoiding beverages like coffee, tea and sodas.

Include healthy fats in your diet

Certain fats make for are a necessary component for a healthy diet. Snack on almond nuts, berries or pumpkins seeds, extra virgin olive oil, avocados, fish (rich in omega 3 fats) and coconut butter in your cooking.

Getting eight hours of sleep every night can manage your stress levels effectively. Sleep deprivation and high stress levels are two leading causes for over-eating.
