The KPU Eagles women’s basketballteam is taking on itstoughest opponent yet: breastcancer. The KwantlenPolytechnic University team ishosting a game night fundraiserfor the Canadian BreastCancer Foundation’s (CBCF)B.C./Yukon chapter on Friday,Jan. 24 in a double header thatwill see both the women’s andmen’s teams host theCapilano University Blues.KPU’s double-header in supportof the CBCF is Friday,Jan. 24 in the Bird’s Nest (theKPU Surrey gym, 12666 72ndAve.). Tipoff for the women’sgame is 6 p.m. A silent auction featuring Vancouver Canucks and Abbotsford Heat tickets, amongother items, will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets to the game are $5 for adults and $2 for students.Items for the silent auction will be accepted until game day.
