Four Men Arrested Arrests After Indo-Canadian Woman Kidnapped, Held For Days

Arrested on Sunday for the kidnapping and confinement of a Toronto woman were Jaswinder Singh, 27, Asogian Gunalingam, 30, and Nicholas Victorvalaratnam, 45, all of Mississauga, and Jora Jassal, 28, of Brampton. They’re charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, extortion and assault, surrendered to police on Monday and was charged with the same offences. Police are still hunting for Vajinder Singh, 32.

TORONTO — Police have arrested four men in connection with the kidnapping of a Brampton, Ont., Indo-Canadian woman.

Peel police said 38-year-old victim was taken from her home in the Greater Toronto Area on Remembrance Day and held against her will for two days, reported QMI Agency news.

Three men were arrested on Sunday while investigators swore out arrest warrants for two other men.

One of those men surrendered Monday while a fifth suspect remains at large.

Jora Jassal, 28, of Brampton, surrendered to police on Monday and was charged with the same offences.

Police are still hunting for Vajinder Singh, 32.

The motive for the kidnapping is still unknown.
