FATEHGARH SAHIB – A 27-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide after failing to get Rs 23.25 lakh from two “immigration agents”, who had promised to send him and his brother to Australia. The deceased has been identified as Baljinder Singh of Dinowal village in Hoshiarpur district. His body was found hanging from a ceiling fan.
On the complaint of the deceased’s brother, Hardeep Singh, the police have registered a case against Jasbir Singh and Pramod Kumar Gupta of Patiala under Sections 406, 420, 306 and 120B of the IPC.
