Homicide team says missing Navdeep Kaur may be victim of foul play

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of the investigation of Navdeep Kaur, 28, of Surrey, that began in February 2024.
On February 23, 2024, Navdeep was reported missing by her family, to the Surrey RCMP.  After an extensive investigation by the Surrey RCMP’s Missing Persons Unit, evidence was collected that has led investigators to believe that Ms. Kaur may be a victim of foul play.
As a result, IHIT has taken conduct of the investigation and will be working closely in partnership with the Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service to advance the investigation.
IHIT is the largest homicide unit in Canada, responsible for investigating homicides, suspicious deaths, and high-risk missing persons where foul play is suspected.
Navdeep was last seen on February 22, 2024 at 10:30 p.m. in the 7800-block of 123 Street, in Surrey. She is described as 28-years-old, South Asian, 5’5, 125lbs, with long black hair, and brown eyes.
“Investigators are working to learn as much as possible about Navdeep, and her movements leading up to her disappearance on February 22 says Corporal Esther Tupper of IHIT “We’re asking anyone who has had recent contact with Navdeep, or anyone with information, to please call IHIT immediately.”
