Renowned Indo-Canadian veterinarian Dr. Hakam Bhullar, who fought a long battle with his profession’s governing body, was one of 10 people recognized at Darpan Magazine’s Extraordinary Achievement Awards Gala last Friday in Surrey. Bhullar, who is also been celebrated as the Urban Legend for his work by the mainstream media, was the biggest honouree as his fight against racism and injustice will live on in Indo-Canadian history.
