Khalsa Wrestlers Win Big!

High School athletes of the Khalsa Wrestling Club recently won the Juvenille National Championships Team Title in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This makes them the top team in the country at the high school level. They are the first ever Indo Canadian Club to win the Juvenille National Title. The most impressive part of this accomplishment was that Khalsa Wrestling Club only sent 6 athletes. Where as most other teams sent between 20 and 30 athletes per team. The athletes returned with 5 gold medals and 1 Silver medal. Gold medal Winners were: Parm Dhesi (team captain), Amar Dhesi, Jaskarn Ranu, Saheel Khan, and Arsh Atwal. Manpreet Virk returned with a Silver medal. These athletes were lead by coaches Balbir Dhesi (Shiri Pehalwaan) and Garfield Gairy.
