ABBOTSFORD –Enthusiastic supporters gathered with the Leader of the Official Opposition Adrian Dix to welcome Sukhi Dhami to the team, as the NDP candidate in Abbotsford-West.
“I’m excited to stand up and fight for the people of Abbotsford-West” said Dhami. “I’m going to work hard to earn every vote in this campaign.”
Dhami has been hearing from people who want to see a positive, issue-oriented campaign.
“People are tired of negative campaigns,” he said. “They don’t want more personal attacks – they want a campaign that’s focused on the issues that matter to them.”
Based on his conversations with people in Abbotsford-West, Dhami has already identified some of the key priorities for the campaign.
“Keeping good jobs in BC, making sure healthcare is readily available to Abbotsford residents, students complaining about encuring high debts” he said. “These are all critical areas that the BC Liberals have failed to address and we intend to make these a focus of the campaign.”
