Actress Shilpa Shetty,mother of three-month-oldson Viaan, says she is enjoyingmotherhood and is not thinkingabout getting back to filmsright now. “Right now, I am afull-time mother and completelyenjoying it. I have notime for films. I am on a sabbaticalfor I don’t know howlong.
Motherhood is such anamazing experience thateverything else takes a backseat,” said Shilpa.Shilpa, who is married tobusinessman Raj Kundra,became a mother May 21. Shewas here Tuesday, at an eventto promote skin-care lineOlay. This was her first publicappearance post-delivery.
Talking about the changesthe baby has brought to herlife, she said: “Life haschanged from being a womanto a mother but it is beautiful.”But coming back to shapepost-pregnancy brings a lot ofstress for any lady, says the 37-year-old whose baby fat wasevident in a loose white andblack outfit.
“There are surely lot ofinsecurities about your weight,skin and the way you lookpost-pregnancy. But all thisbecomes a lot easy when youhave good and right advice.”There are pressures onevery woman but being acelebrity when we are scrutinisedevery time for everything,the pressure surelyincreases.
But I haven’t started losingweight because it is not onmy priority list right now. It ismy baby and all that is importantfor him that tops the list,”she said.Weight loss is more timeconsuming compared to skincare.”Losing weight and beingin shape requires a lot of hardwork, a lot of time, a balanceddiet. But when it comes toskin care, it is far easier. Ithink less is more when itcomes to skin.The lesser you do it, thebetter it looks.
That has alwaysbeen my mantra.”We are in a time and agewhen people don’t want to seesomething fake or too overlydone up.If you have to look good,you should have good andhealthy skin,” said the actress,who turns to her mother whenit comes to taking any beautyand health tips.
