Paralysed Woman Accuses Husband Of Murder Bid

FARIDKOT – A paralysed woman has accused her husband of pushing her from the roof of their house at midnight with the intention of killing her, in Faridkot. She was married to Rakesh Kumar in 2000 and got a paralysis attack in 2004. She alleged that her husband wanted to get rid of her but she survived the murder bid.

As per the FIR, after the victim woman was allegedly pushed off the roof, she kept crying for help for over two hours. Later, her accused husband and her brother-in-law took her to a private clinic for treatment.

The Faridkot police have registered an attempt to murder case against Rakesh, who claimed he was innocent. His family claimed it was a “suicide attempt” by the woman. The family members of Rakesh Kumar claimed that it was an attempt of suicide by the woman as she was feeling dejected sue to her condition.

Narinder Singh, SHO, Faridkot, said they were investigating the case from all angles.
