Preety Panesar arrested for alleged murder of woman with “familial relationship”

One day after a woman’s body was discovered in Delta, B.C., police have announced charges against another woman with a “familial relationship”
Department (DPD) responded to a Ladner residence following the discovery of a deceased woman. Subsequent investigation conclusively determined that the woman’s death was the result of homicide.

Shortly thereafter, the DPD arrested a suspect, 28-year-old Preety Teena Kaur Panesar, who has been formally charged with 1st-degree murder in connection to the death.
“A familial relationship exists between Panesar and the deceased woman. Presently, Panesar is in custody. In consideration of the ongoing investigation and legal proceedings, no further details will be disclosed at this time. The Delta Police Department extends sincere condolences to the Panesar family during this challenging period,” said Delta Police Department in a release.
