Kids Play and Prime Television hosted the second annual Punjabi Sports Awards Night last Friday. More than 100 awards were given out to athletes for their positive contribution to the society. Kids Play believes in appreciating the deserving candidates to encourage similar behaviour amongst their peers. Commonwealth Games Gold medalist and Olympian Arjan Bhullar, who’s making big noise in MMA now, was also on hand. A great event for our young kids and athletes of all shapes and sizes! So many people – athletes, sponsors, volunteers and other amazing individuals like Kal Dosanjh, Bindy Bains and Goldy Dhillon and their team – make the event possible! It needs a real push from the provincial and federal government to get to the next level! The government representatives in attendance were schooled by one of the speakers so I won’t say much!
