Bollywood heart-throb RanbirKapoor was detained briefly atMumbai’s Chhatrapati ShivajiInternational Airport for not declaringthe luxury goods he was carying, an officialsaid here Saturday.Kapoor, who arrived here by a BritishAirways flight from London, was foundwalking through the green channel.However, he was immediately interceptedby customs officials and was found tocarrying branded goods and personalaccessories worth around Rs.100,000that he had not declared.
These included clothes, perfumes andfootwear, which attract customs dutybeyond a certain limit, the official said.Kapoor was detained for around halfhour, interrogated and later directed topay a penalty of Rs.60,000 before he wasallowed to go, the official added.
