Muted Word From Honey Singh’s Song Is Not Vulgar: Akshay Kumar

NEW DELHI The producers of his filmhave muted a word in a song after allegationsthat it was vulgar. Akshay Kumar,however, does not think the allegationholds any value. Talking about Honey Singh’ssong in his upcoming film Boss, Kumarsays, “Wo koi vulgar word tha nai. Abkisiko kuch aur sunai de to isme unke kaanki galti hai na ki humari.” (The word wasnot vulgar at all. They must have heardit wrongly. The blame lies on those whoheard it wrong, not us.)The actor, adds, “We have, however,respected their objection and muted theword now.”Honey Singh’s song Party All Night inAkshay Kumar’s upcoming film Boss wasat the centre of controversy recently.Producers of the movie had to submita petition in Delhi High Court claimingthat they have ‘muted’ the alleged vulgarword in Honey Singh’s song. The courtwas hearing a petition filed by lawyer SanjayBhatnagar seeking a stay on the film,contending that without censor board’sapproval, the song could not be releasedwith such a vulgar word. The petition hadsought a stay on the release of the film tilleither the word or the song is deleted fromthe film.Akshay Kumar impressed both criticsand the audience with films like OhMy God!, Special Chabbis and RowdyRathore. As he comes up with yet anothermass entertainer Boss – we wonder howhe balances his the critics and audience atthe same time. The actor says it is not different- he says films are passion, not workfor him. For each kind of script, Kumargets himself lost in the character to givehis “best”.“I wait for beautiful, sensible scripts.But the waiting does not stop me from entertainingmyself and my fans in the formof films that they enjoy,” the actor adds.Earlier at a press conference for thefilm, Akshay said, “Boss has real action -no VFX, no graphics but real action, manto man fight.”When asked about her favourite songin Boss, Aditi Rao Hydari, who was alsopresent at the event says that all girls loveromantic songs and so does she. She lovesHar kisi ko nai milta.Reacting to a statement that she hasworn a bikini in Boss, the actress says,“You do not get bold by wearing a bikinior kissing someone on screen,” and addsthat she would love to do an action flick.Akshay Kumar, Aditi Rao Hydari,Shiv Pandit and Ronit Roy were in the nationalcapital recently for promotions oftheir film Boss.Talking about the film, Akshay says itis a love story between father and son.
