Johnpreet Singh Kang wanted by Edmonton police for drug trafficking

EDMONTON, AB: The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has charged three Indo-Canadian men for their involvement in a drug trafficking investigation and are seeking the whereabouts of one additional suspect.
Police have charged Harshdeep Singh Sohal, Prabhjot Singh Atwal and Harman Sandhu all in their 20s for drug trafficking and possession of an offensive weapon.
Investigators are seeking the whereabouts of 36-year-old Johnpreet Singh Kang for his involvement. He is wanted on warrants for trafficking a controlled substance (x2) and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
In November of 2023, EPS Special Project Team officers began an investigation into a drug trafficking network. Upon further investigation, suspects were identified, and search warrants were various residences and vehicles were obtained.
As a result of the search warrants, investigators seized illicit drugs like cocaine, methamphetamine , fentanyl worth $246,000.
“Drug trafficking networks have far-reaching impacts to our citizens and community,” said Sgt. Ian Vicker of the EPS Southwest Branch Special Project Team. “Individuals involved in these activities travel around the city and deliver illicit drugs to citizens who are often quite vulnerable.”
“Citizens are also reminded that they can still report information to police anonymously via Crime Stoppers,” said Vicker. “We are confident someone out there knows where he is.”
